Highly Inhibitive Water Based Muds (HIWBM)

OS DRILL System

A highly inhibitive water based system which utilizes a 100% active and field proven polyamine for ionic inhibition: OS HIB, a very efficient ROP Enhancer and anti-accretion product: OS FREE, along with an engineered combination of marble, industrial Carbon (graphite): OS SEAL and nano-size latex particles: OS BoreSeal LT or OS BoreSeal HT for micro-pores/fractures sealing, which prevents pore pressure transmission and ionic diffusion.  The system has proved very effective in drilling various type of formations, which are characterized by high water sensitivity and a very high content of dispersive type minerals (chlorite, kaolinite, illite).

The water activity of the formation is balanced with Sodium Chloride and the fluid loss is controlled with the additions of OS PAC LV and OS Starch HT, along with micro-particles. OS BORTEX, provides fluid loss reduction, inhibition and hole stability.

OS NANO DRILL System

OS NANO DRILL is the next generation Highly Inhibitive Water-Based Mud, incorporating Nano-Technology particles for shale sealing. The system provides the highly superior ionic inhibition of OS DRILL, plus enhanced micro-pores sealing with Nano-Particles, significantly reducing the pore-pressure transmission, and implicitly improving hole stability.
